Sean Desmond

Sean Desmond serves as nCino’s President and Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to being appointed CEO, Sean served as nCino's Chief Product Officer, overseeing the Product Development & Engineering organization globally. He joined nCino in 2013 initially as Chief Customer Success Officer, ensuring the successful delivery and implementation of the nCino Platform to financial institutions around the world.
He has several decades of experience within global technology and financial services organizations and has successfully led delivery and field services at multiple enterprise-scale technology companies.
Sean holds a BA in Business Administration from James Madison University.
Joaquín de Valenzuela
Managing Director EMEA, nCino
Joaquín de Valenzuela serves as nCino’s Managing Director for EMEA. In his role, Joaquín is responsible for the strategic oversight of nCino’s growth and market presence within the EMEA region. Prior to nCino, Joaquín held the position of EVP, Chief Digital and Business Operations Officer at Temenos, and prior to that served as the Head of Financial Services in EMEA and LATAM for Salesforce.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa.
Lee Hopley
Director Economic Insights and Research, UK Finance
Lee heads up the Data and Research team, which is responsible for gathering, analysing and producing commentary on a range of data series covering payments, business and personal finance. Her focus is on ensuring the information requirements of members are met, supporting advocacy priorities and monitoring developments in the UK economy. The team also supports the broader research activities across UK finance.
Prior to joining UK Finance, Lee was Deputy Director at the Enterprise Research Centre and previously Chief Economist at Make UK.
Angela Norman
Managing Director, YBS Commercial Mortgages
Angela Norman is Interim Managing Director for YBS Commercial Mortgages, the commercial arm of Yorkshire Building Society, providing tailored lending solutions for corporate and commercial with an award-winning quality of service to both trading business and property investors based in the UK.
Angela joined the business in June 2024 from Recognise Bank, initially as Head of Lending, and has worked in the industry for over 25 years across challenger and high street banks including Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group, so brings a great wealth of knowledge and understanding of the commercial finance landscape.
Angela’s focus is firmly set on ensuring that the strategic direction for YBS Commercial Mortgages is aligned through every touch point, to best serve customer and broker need and drive the expansion of the business.
Inma Martinez
Technology Pioneer and AI Advisor to Governments and Public Sectors
Inma Martinez is a technology entrepreneur and AI researcher with 25+ years of experience pioneering artificial intelligence in human behavior, recommender systems, precision agriculture, and data governance. She has created transformative digital products for telecom, automotive, energy, and financial services companies while serving as a government advisor since 2002.
Currently, she leads Safe and Trustworthy AI for Standardised Data Governance at the Global Partnership on AI (G7+OECD initiative) and serves on the Board of SciTheWorld. She has held expert roles with British and European government institutions, contributing to Big Data, GDPR, and AI Directive policies, and collaborates with the UN Technology Office, UNESCO's Global Forum on AI Ethics, and chairs the G7/OECD Global Partnership on AI expert group.
A recognized voice for human-centered technology approaches, she regularly provides expert commentary to major media outlets including FORTUNE, TIME, Bloomberg, Financial Times, and The Economist on technology and geopolitical issues.
Gareth Merrall
Deputy Head of GCIB Business Management, MUFG EMEA
Over 25 years in Financial Services, spent mostly at MUFG and covering retail, commercial and investment banking, across back and front office roles. Currently the Deputy Head of GCIB EMEA’s Business Management function, with the primary remit of ensuring GCIB maintains its licence to operate by ensuring effective governance and maintaining a robust risk and controls governance framework. Gareth is also the business owner for the nCino platform within MUFG EMEA.
Carlos Torrens
Chief Technology Officer, Baghdadi Capital
Carlos Torrens serves as Chief Technology Officer at Baghdadi Capital, where he is responsible for shaping and executing the technology strategy across the family office’s portfolio companies — including Trade & Working Capital, Higher Bridge Capital, and Tamwuil — to support their ambitious growth objectives. Since joining, Carlos has been leading a full-scale transformation spanning technology, processes, organization, and data, driving automation across core operations while strengthening data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
With more than two decades of international experience in IT leadership, Carlos has held senior roles across FMCG, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Prior to Baghdadi Capital, he served as Group CIO at Oetiker, Head of CIO & Digital Office at Heineken, and held senior positions at Holcim’s EMEA Digital Center, Vodafone UK, and KPMG, where he led digital transformation initiatives, Regional IT Service Centers, IT governance and cybersecurity.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, Carlos has been collaborating with CUNEF University since 2019, teaching technology risk and cybersecurity to financial sector professionals. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Alcalá, EMBA from EOI and completed an executive program at IMD.
Elia Lattuga
Portfolio Manager, UniCredit Bank
Elia Lattuga is a Portfolio Manager in UniCredit Bank’s Group Investment Strategy division, where he contributes to shaping the bank’s strategic and tactical investment views. His work focuses on the interaction between macroeconomic developments, fiscal and monetary policy, and market fundamentals. Previously, he co-headed UniCredit Strategy Research, where he was responsible for Cross Strategy Research. Elia holds a BA in Economics and an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University.

Satyajeet Roy (Satya) is the Chief Executive Officer and Director at Habib Bank AG Zurich UK since 2016.
Satya is a seasoned executive with 35 years of international banking experience across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and India, spanning the Commercial, SME, and Retail segments. He brings extensive cross-functional expertise in business strategy, risk management, audit, and operations.
He began his career at Citibank in India and has held various positions, including Head of Commercial Banking in the Middle East, Head of Business Development for Business Banking for EMEA in London, Lead Auditor for Audit and Risk Review in the UK, and several roles in Operations, Branch Management, and Lending in India. Before joining Habib Bank AG Zurich in London, Satya was the Head of Business Banking at Commercial Bank International in the UAE.
Satya is an avid outdoor person with hobbies such as fishing, clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, traveling, and cooking. He is interested in matters related to the environment. He lives in Kent with his wife, two children, and their retriever.
Ben Ussher-Stanley
Regional Vice-President, nCino
Ben serves as Regional Vice-President with nCino, powering a new era in financial services. His experience includes 16 years in financial services spanning credit risk management, digital banking solutions, and client relationship management.
At nCino, Ben leads client engagements and supports UK Financial Institutions in their digital transformation journeys, focusing on mortgage lending, commercial lending, onboarding, and portfolio management.
Prior to nCino, Ben worked at Lloyds Banking Group supporting Credit Proposal Review Processing, credit sanctioning, and managing account excesses. Ben is a graduate of the University of Essex with an LLB in Law.
Anthony Morris

As Chief Industry Innovation Officer, Anthony engages with global bank customers and prospects to drive their adoption of the nCino Bank Operating System® and helps refine go-to-market strategies to continue expanding the nCino ecosystem. With more than 30 years of experience in the banking and software industries, Anthony has successfully helped financial institutions around the globe define and deliver new operating models and practical transformation visions. In his former role as the Vice President and Global Head of Banking Go-to-Market at Salesforce, Anthony advised hundreds of bank customers on how to best leverage the cloud to deliver their digital transformation strategies across a variety of business lines, segments, and programs. He holds an MBA from York University in Marketing.

With a Master in Business Psychology from the University of Westminster, Marlen brings a unique perspective and front-row seat to how financial institutions are balancing mounting pressures while pursuing strategic transformation opportunities.
