Sean Desmond serves as nCino’s President and Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to being appointed CEO, Sean served as nCino's Chief Product Officer, overseeing the Product Development & Engineering organization globally. He joined nCino in 2013 initially as Chief Customer Success Officer, ensuring the successful delivery and implementation of the nCino Platform to financial institutions around the world.
He has several decades of experience within global technology and financial services organizations and has successfully led delivery and field services at multiple enterprise-scale technology companies.
Sean holds a BA in Business Administration from James Madison University.
Joaquín de Valenzuela

Joaquín de Valenzuela serves as nCino’s Managing Director for EMEA. In his role, Joaquín is responsible for the strategic oversight of nCino’s growth and market presence within the EMEA region. Prior to nCino, Joaquín held the position of EVP, Chief Digital and Business Operations Officer at Temenos, and prior to that served as the Head of Financial Services in EMEA and LATAM for Salesforce.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa.

Caspar Berry's path from economist to professional poker player - and back to the boardroom - is one of the most compelling stories in modern strategic thinking. As an adviser to the production of Casino Royale, he helped bring authentic probability-based decision-making to the screen. He then put the theory into practice, spending years competing at the highest levels in Las Vegas. Today, Caspar works with boards and executive teams across industries, using the lens of poker to reframe how leaders approach uncertainty, calculated risk, and high-stakes choice.
Amy Musk
Director of Strategic Operations, nCino
Our host of the day is Amy, a dynamic leader with a decade of rich experience across top-tier tech companies including Gartner, DueDil, and FullCircl, where she notably served as COO. Most recently, Amy has brought her expertise to the EMEA leadership team at nCino.
As COO of FullCircl, Amy played a pivotal role in integrating three regtech companies, spearheading remarkable growth and securing market leadership in Customer Lifecycle Management. Her strategic vision culminated in FullCircl's market-making acquisition by nCino in October 2024.
Beyond her professional achievements, Amy balances her career as a full-time working mum to a little girl, with a passionate commitment to driving positive change for the next generation of Women in Tech. She is a dedicated champion of women in STEM roles and fostering greater diversity within the industry.
Lee Hopley
Director Economic Insights and Research, UK Finance
Lee heads up the Data and Research team, which is responsible for gathering, analysing and producing commentary on a range of data series covering payments, business and personal finance. Her focus is on ensuring the information requirements of members are met, supporting advocacy priorities and monitoring developments in the UK economy. The team also supports the broader research activities across UK finance.
Prior to joining UK Finance, Lee was Deputy Director at the Enterprise Research Centre and previously Chief Economist at Make UK.

Merridee Arthur serves as Senior Director of Sales Excellence & Growth, EMEA with nCino, powering a new era in financial services. With 13 years at the company and significant expertise across nCino's Smart Solutions portfolio, spanning banking, insurance and beyond, her experience includes sales process transformation, pipeline and forecast strategy, enablement design, and partner co-sell execution. At nCino, Merridee is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that align go-to-market teams to drive scalable, repeatable impact across the financial services ecosystem.
Paul Munson
CCO and MLRO, Wallester
Paul Munson is an experienced professional with over 20 years’ experience working in and for regulated entities or regulatory bodies across various industries and jurisdictions, including Law Enforcement, Banking, Payment services, Crypto and Consulting.
Paul has to date held numerous Head of Compliance and MLRO Roles, including prior to Rippling the Interim MLRO for Optimus Cards Uk Limited and Head of Compliance/MLRO at Shares App Ltd and Solidi Ltd.
Paul was also in government as a financial crime and anti-corruption investigator and FCA regulator prior to taking industry roles.
Ryan Wainwright

With 13 years in banking and financial services, Ryan is a specialist in financial crime compliance and identity risk management. He has built deep expertise across the full client lifecycle, from onboarding and ongoing monitoring through to offboarding, with a consistent focus on strengthening financial crime controls at every stage. This includes experience in successfully implementing a new end-to-end CLM platform at a major bank, bringing hands-on experience of transforming compliance infrastructure from the ground up.
Matthew Tataryn
Global Director of Financial Crime & MLRO at Tide
Matt is the current Global Director of Financial Crime at Tide Platform Limited and MLRO. Tide provides banking services for SMEs and has a current member base of over 2 million members across 4 locations. Over the past seven years, he has built and scaled Tide’s second line of defence FC teams, designing a Financial Crime function that has evolved alongside the company’s rapid growth and regulatory complexity.
Prior to Tide, Matt led Santander’s Financial Crime Apprenticeship Programme, where he focused on developing the next generation of industry professionals. He also brings a wealth of international experience from previous roles at Barclays and Amazon, working across risk management, compliance, and fraud in both corporate and fintech environments.
Matt’s approach is grounded in building Financial Crime teams that think beyond the conventional. He prioritises training that cultivates both technical expertise and creative problem-solving, empowering teams to adapt in a constantly shifting threat landscape. He believes that effective financial crime prevention blends data science, regulatory intelligence, and narrative thinking, a combination that enables teams to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated criminal methodologies.

Bauke is partner at the PwC Financial Services Consulting leading the core banking transformation practice. In that capacity Bauke leads the European nCino Center of Excellence. As a on the side Bauke is the cofounder of PwC's global future of banking intiative. Based out of Amsterdam Bauke leads the Financial Services Customer & Operations team. This team focuses on everything concerning the core business of FI's. From how they serve their customers to operational fulfilment and IT core applications involved. Bauke's focus is on banking and predominantly commercial and corporate lending.
Alex Clayden
Head of Financial Crime Risk, Monzo
Alex Clayden is one of Monzo's Heads of Financial Crime Risk, overseeing global signup, screening, ABC/ATE, and digital assets risk across three countries and counting. With over a decade of financial crime experience, Alex has led transformation programmes at Tier 1 and challenger banks alike to ensure both compliance and innovation. Alex has a particular interest in the growing challenges of identity fraud, synthetic identity, deepfakes, on-chain fraud and criminals' use of the dark web. Outside work, Alex serves as a trustee for multiple arts and culture charities.
Patrick Sweeney
CEO, AutoRABIT
Patrick Sweeney is a technology executive with decades of experience driving innovation across cybersecurity and enterprise SaaS. He’s led multiple companies through successful growth initiatives and acquisitions, including Area 1 Security (acquired by Cloudflare) and Talari Networks (acquired by Oracle). Having held leadership roles at Dell Security, SonicWALL, and Silicon Graphics, he has built high-performing teams, accelerated product innovation, and scaled global go-to-market operations. Today, he leverages deep Salesforce expertise and proven executive leadership to help organizations deliver meaningful business outcomes.
